As far as I know, the game is original. I'm not aware of anything similar,
at any rate.

The skeleton of the frog has a set of rigid bones, constrained by ligaments
which limit how far they can rotate with respect to each other. It's not based
on any real biology, but rather on what looked about right while providing a
set of constraints that gave rise to interesting puzzles.

I can't believe nobody's commenting in your blog. Could you please elaborate
bit more on how you conceived the Ancient Frog?

I was always curious is it original concept or you got this idea from
somewhere? And how does skeleton works, are there some artificial restrictions
which doesn't allow me to move frog limbs or everything is completely
natural?

I was always facinated by iPhone version. Gotta say that iPad looks bit
worse I think, the frog is not that lively anymore and everything looks bit
plastic. But anyway cool game, would like to know more about how did you
develop it.

Thank you.

Nice one - good tip on the native coding on the pre. I would bet that the
Android version would eventually actually be the most useful long term. It is
also, I reckon, the most ARSE of all to port for.

of mine too.

The TapTapRevenge apps allow you to combine separate purchases into one app,
but I think they do it like this:
1. When it runs, each app signals to the server that it exists
2. On the app you want to keep, you say "import"
3. The server knows which apps you have, so it downloads the qualified music to
that app.

That doesn't solve your problem at all, but I wonder if the general idea, of
having your server track who has the iPhone version and therefore merits some

As I understand it, you can't use an in-app purchase from one app in
another, which makes things a bit tricky. I could potentially do something
where I have my own server verifying the upgrade from iPhone to iPad, but that
suddenly adds a whole lot of new coding and maintenance which is probably more
than I can manage as a one man outfit. Perhaps simplest would be to get the
iPhone version to generate a key based on name / itunes account, which then
unlocks cheap download in the iPad version.

As for the idea about the leaf moving in the wind - this is something I'd
intended to do yonks ago (along with getting the leaf to give a bit when you
pull on one of the frog's legs), but for some reason I ended up deciding it
wouldn't work. But I've just hacked in a quick test, and actually it looks
really nice. So that's going in. Thanks for the suggestion!
